What we collect

We do not run user accounts, newsletters or advertising trackers. The contact tool works entirely in your browser; its contents reach us only if you email them. When you email us, we process your name, email address and message to reply and, where you agree, to research a viewpoint lead.

Our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) for security and reliability. These are kept for no longer than 30 days.

Legal bases

We rely on legitimate interests for answering correspondence and keeping the site secure, and on consent where you ask us to credit you or publish a lead you sent.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers needed to run the site and email, under appropriate agreements. Correspondence is kept for up to two years, then deleted unless an ongoing conversation requires it.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, object to or restrict processing, and request portability. Email us to exercise these rights. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
